Comments:
Source (Trost) is W. Stanley. Combined Clark's and Western's record because they match and it's just one survey date. The 10 to 15 nests are Clark's. Cavitt states that 10 nests were doubled to estimate # of breeding Clark's. Also for Clark's, the May 26, 1993 survey is also included in G. Ivey's ID Waterbird Atlas spreadsheet for his work with Region 1 - Non Game. In Ivey's spreadsheet, the median number for range of nests is reported as 13 and estimated # of breeding birds at 26 (conversion factor of nests by 2).
