Comments:
Not a survey but the report states that Western grebes were a common breeding species recently (as of 2011) particularly on the Marsh Lakes. During a duck survey in 2011, 14 dead Western grebes were found with other dead birds after a heavy hail storm moved through the area on 26 June 2011 and crushed vegetation in addition to killing birds. Added storm mortality as a threat. Part of Sandhill marshes.
