Comments:

Not a survey but a historical observation by Mollhoff (2004). Distinction between Clark's and Western grebes were made for the nest but not for the broods except for one of them.

Comments:

Not a survey but a species profile describing breeding locations. Three adults with young on their backs were observed in 1998. Since the number of young was not specified, entered as 1 to 3 possible chicks per adult (3 - 9 chicks). Also, the one Clark's grebe nest was amongst 6 Western grebe nests, which is already entered so I did not reenter this proportion since the focus here is on the Clark's grebe. These observations are cited to Mollhoff (2004, 2022).

Comments:

Nebraska Sandhills Lakes with Western Grebe breeding records from database owned by James E. Ducey, forwarded by Ross Silcock. Credit as James E. Ducey, Valentine, Nebraska. Archive of the Great American Sandhills. April 14, 2022 is the publication date. No other details provided. Noted as a Nebraska Sandhills Lake with Western Grebe breeding records from database owned by James E. Ducey, forwarded by Ross Silcock, though no year is provided of that. Breeding record does not specify evidence (nests and/or chicks so entered as probable nests) and then Ross Silcock updated the list with years, some from eBird, and states that presence at Sandhills lakes in June to July is probable as breeding. There may have been previous years of observations to comprise Ducey's list but there is no information on that.
